ManwithSupra
Hi all.. Looking to replace my coil packs (I may have one starting to go bad) and not sure if I should just go OEM/Denso or use something like the Whifbitz uprated set... Not sure if its actually going to make any difference OEM vs Uprated tbh...
Samurai 20V
I used the whiftbitz on my BPU, lasted about 30000kms, had slight cracks and developed a misfire. They were fine when they were new. My originals had worse cracks and didn't misfire. Replaced with a new set of OEM, like a different car. With your power, OEM all the way.
Swampy442
As above, OEM, theres seldom anything that upgrades new coils
rider
I have a few new OE coils, I can part with one for £95. If interested PM me. You only need replace the one that has failed or is failing rather than swap out the lot. Coils tend to either work or not work. You could check the resistance of the other coils just to check they are in spec and similar (around 13k ohms from distant memory) just for peace of mind on the others. bignum
Someone was talking about oem denso buddy, can be ordered directly from them and cheaper than toyota.
Noz
Do you have a part number for the denso coils? I can Google it but be handy to know if there's a particular variant you could confirm was available and trusted. I was unsure what to choose with my 600hp goal. Really glad people have asked this question.

Burna
I just recently bought a brand new set from Lee at SRD as he does a great price on the Denso ones, and you don't have to wait for them to come from the US and get stung by taxes.
