GR Heritage Parts Project- (new mkiv parts!)

I see there is movement today regarding this on gazoo racing’s twitter page.

Says parts are now available for the 2000 gt from today if anyone has one :)

Hopefully start seeing more parts available. Headlamps available from winter 2020

This might help with prices of parts skyrocketing in recent years, depending on how they price them.

There is a reproduction request form. They are asking what parts we want.

I thought about getting rid of mine but it wasn't worth it so it's in the garage.

I've been considering going completely back to stock if you ever decide to sell.

I'd quite like a second cat too.

I doubt they will be glass due to the new EU regulations.

Does that still apply if the car originally shipped with them?

I thought like for like was still acceptable.

I think its quite important that anyone who cares about the future of our cars takes 10 minutes out of their day and fill out a request form for some parts. They may do nothing, but as a community we should bombard them with requests, make it known that we intend future business.

They will only want to provide replacements if they can make a return on their investments, and they can only gauge that from our requests.

Use sites like http://www.japan-parts.eu/ or https://www.toyodiy.com/ to find part #'s for the parts you want.

Good idea.

We could even share what we have requested so not to duplicate?

Duplicating sounds like a great idea. This is what I have come up with so far:

PANEL SUB-ASSY, INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH, NO.2 - 55404-14560 (RHS dash panel that always gets drilled into for alarm lights and fog light switches) 1996/05 onwards - I relocate my alarm light to a blank spot in the panel where the warning lights are

BOARD SUB-ASSY, FRONT DOOR TRIM, RH - 67650-14790c0 (RH door card) 1996/05 onwards

BOARD SUB-ASSY, FRONT DOOR TRIM, LH - 67050-14010c0 (LH door card) 1996/05 onwards

On a different note, does anyone know if the mirrors with the part numbers: 879401b170a0 and 879101b140a0 (both 1994/08 to 1996/05) include the folding mirror motors etc? - these are still available for about £350 each before import fees/taxes from Amayama. I just want to check before I order anything!

I'll hold off in sending my request form through as I'll have a couple of free requests which i'll use to duplicate someone else's.

Cheers

I was just thinking the same about prices.  They will probably want thousands for a bumper if the lights are anything to go by.

A new front bumper for the low low prices of 7k........excludes shipping and tax...

Did we ever work out the prices of headlights from toyota?

It just feels like when you have a builder come over to do an estimate, they don't want the job, so give you a high price to put you off. Next thing will be, we made all these parts and they didn't sell so we are closing program down.

Nissan is doing the same thing really. They just take a part that is already available, put it under the heritage scheme and increase the price 3x-4x.
