slugger1
After removing my electric front seat for re-trimming the seat has stopped moving backwards and forwards! After a bit of reading it appears to be a common problem. Does anyone have a working gear assembly or base unit that they would like to sell to me? It's due for an MOT next week so i'm stuffed if I can't fix this before then

slugger1
Cheers for the replies. I don't have time to sort it out now because I'm on holiday tomorrow. Will just have to take the seat out again and book it in for another MOT once sorted.
blythmrk
It failed it’s mot due to the seat not adjusting? If the seat is permenatly in a fixed in a position like a rally car do they fail too?

I think it's one of those mot things where if the seat has adjustment it has to work but it is doesn't it doesn't. Same with say a rear wiper, if you removed it from the car completely - pass, if you leave it on but it doesn't work - fail!

Pain in the arse as this particular stipulation only came in last year!
