Coilovers and camber/alignment

Glover

Recommended Posts

Finally passed the MOT today after needing a full new suspension set up! I’m running the Tein Street Advance and now it’s all ready to be drove again I need to get the car aligned and cambered to where I want the car to sit. Do these need to go any where different to be sorted like this or should any good wheel garage be able to do it?

Anyone close to Sheffield have any good experience with any particular garages they can recommend ?

When you find somewhere i'd get a full geometry set up done but unless they've been adjusted in the past

you might find some of the eccentric adjusters seized and can be very difficult to undo, it would pay you to look

at those first

This was mine several years ago and one of the front lower arm eccentric adjusters would not undo

no matter what we tried, out with the cutting disc in the end.

It wasn't a problem as i had already bought all new arms and bolts etc

If your going to travel i'd be going to CG and speak to Chris, he's not cheap but can set the car up

to you, including corner weights.

My car even on 19's was a joy to drive after he'd done his stuff on it

I'd give him a call as mine was done back in 2008, i'd also call WIM and see what they can offer you, i think

they're much cheaper than CG but only heard good reviews

I can't honestly remember but not cheap for sure
