Glover
As with the title, what do people use for grease for the pins in the callipers?
Frank Bullitt
A small amount of Silicone/dielectric grease should be fine.

Jellybean
Ceratec is what manufacturers recommend now , especially for modern brakes But the above will also work for the pins https://mintex.com/copper-slip-vs-ceratec/?lang=en-gbr
Chris Wilson
Stainless steel pins will stop you having to worry about grease getting on the friction surfaces. I see stainless steel pins And pistons...

I see stainless steel pins And pistons... Eventually I should be going down that route? Do you sell the items for this, and do you do an actual refurb service, 99% certain you’ll do a better job that I will!!
Chris Wilson
I make and sell stainless steel pistons for all Supra calipers as well as any others if I have a pattern piston tp look at. I also do stainless steel pad locating pins for the UK type Supra calipers. I also sell seal kits that do a pair of calipers, be they fronts or rears, Jap or UK spec. Whilst I will rebuild calipers I domn't want to get into show finish powder coating, all I offer is Kephos coating in satin black. It's what F1 used on suspension parts before most were made in carbon fibre instead of steel.
