herbiemercman
Hi Guys, After 'going all round china' investigating the ECU, the Emange, etc. Last week the miss firing went much worse, instead of just miss firing on start up as its done for the past 12 months it became miss firing all the time. As luck would have it i could hear a ticking noise coming from the distributer area, when i looked closely there was a bright blue ht spark jumping from the base of the disi cap to the ali fan scroll on the turbo. Further investigation showed that the ht lead underneath the cap had worked its way out, the clip was missing and i am sure this was lost during the N/T conversion. Anyway i repaired the fault and no more miss firing. If the ht lead had stayed partly in place as before, then i would still be trying to seek out the problem. Herbie.
