tayr
everything was so obviously scripted. It was terrible. They are all just so boring. Grand tour is scripted but at least it's a little less obvious

jamesmark
Just wait till they bring in Paddy and Freddie. On face value that is going to be horrendous. Said it before and say it again, Top Gear might be more palatable with Harris, Needell & if available Button who could also replace the Stig. Even replace Needell with maybe Coulthard or Webber, as those 3 former F1 have chemistry. Plato (Plato if Button or no one else is available). One person I would not like to see on there is Vicky double barrel, she annoys me to no end.
mattdavies
I saw Rory at this years Goodwood Revival, I have not seen someone so disinterested and out of place in my life. He was not dressed suitably for Goodwood revival and when walking round with his mates was not interested in anything going on, almost there because he thought he should. I have recently been watching Chris Harris on Cars on YouTube, I like his older stuff and I think its a shame this has been somewhat squashed by the Beeb as he has some great videos
Marcus GTE
Broadly agree with the comments so far. It’s too forced and none of the jokes land. It’s as if it’s trying to speak to an international audience too much with the pacing of it being so slow (and easier to understand) who knows. It’s terrible anyway. I’ve liked Chris and Matt but it didn’t really develop. Chris looks and is quite an awkward person at times when being forced to act, and full of nervous smirking doesn’t help. Rory, god love him is a positive person but I’d rather he was dropped as he’s hard to watch. He won an internet competition so what do we expect. Like the idea of former F1 drivers having a bit of banter. At the moment the grand tour is a much better watch.

Swampy442
Like Top Gear, Ill miss Le Blanc when he goes. Its always been about how it looks for me and it still looks stunning. I reckon the BBC got Flintoff and McGuinness to finally kill it off, and that's what will happen. I watched 1 episode of th Grand Tour and it was so cringeworthy, like a Top Gear episode from 10 years back, only less chemistry and a bigger budget. Awful. These shows should be about the cars, and nothing else, no celebs, no fake sending stuff into space, just driving cars

Top Gear with LeBlanc and Harris is really enjoyable (Rory is a bit kid's telly for me) but it will be a sad day when Harris and Matt go. Harris I like because he knows his stuff, you can see his genuine love of cars plus he can really drive. As you say, the BEEB must want Top Gear to die a fiery death putting Paddy and Freddy on it. Grand Tour is really dull and when it's not dull it's just cringeworthy staged 'accidents' and japery. Hammond is a Class A Grinning Chimp Tw@t and Jeremy has lost his edge. You can see the lack of desire May has every time plus the fact he really doesn't like Jeremy is pretty apparent. Plato on Fifth Gear was always watchable and I actually have a lot of time for Jodie Kidd who knows her brakes from her breaks! I'd stick LeBlanc, Harris and Kidd on a car show and watch that quite happily. Stick Plato on as the Stig and we're all good. I actually don't mind Ant Anstead - he can be a bit 'had one too many E numbers' at times but his knowledge and passion is there. There's definitely room for a 'better' car show. JasonR24
Did anyone watch on Sunday, ended up fast forwarding on the iPlayer it was that poor. Stopped watching soon after they changed it all. It’s not even because the trio have gone it’s that they’ve desperately tried to replicate them ever since they left. It’s awful now and honestly even the grand tour isn’t that great anymore. It’s all been done before. I really think think the whole BBC is pointless now. I don’t think the licence fee should exist either

samdale
Nothing on TV worth paying the license fee for these days. This. Basically it cost me £150 to watch blue planet last year. License now cancelled. Haven't watched anything live in over a year, not missed it one bit. I have Prime TV and a mates Netflix and I'm spoiled for choice. Spunkmeyer
I thought you needed the licence even to watch iplayer repeats (not live) Agree that the licence fee is a joke with all the other viewing solutions. Don’t see how it’s legally appropriate to prevent watching of any live tv unless you have a licence (not only bbc)
