Oil return line na t

What diameter hole do you need on the sump for the oil return line from the turbo as it isn’t pressure related what’s the minimum diameter hole needed.

You should be using a minimum of AN10 for your return line. ID of AN10 is roughly 13mm, so at minimum hole should be that much. Usually I drill the whole area out

Did you do it with the engine still in or did you take the engine out.

Definitely take the engine out. I believe it can be done if you drop the front subframe to remove the sump, but definitely don’t drill it with the sump in place.

 

The engine can be removed in a couple

of hours complete with the gearbox so it’s really no reason not to.

Which is easier dropping the subframe or taking the engine out.

I’d personally drop the engine. Will give you the opportunity to replace the cambelt, water pump etc while you’re there

I have just been to my mechanic which does most of the work on my supra and he quoted £200 fro doing the oil return.
