suprakitten
Hi I have just fitted a new front crank seal (Genuine Toyota) but am unsure if it is seated far enough in. I installed it using a crank seal press so it went in nice and straight but the press feels like it can't push the seal back anymore but it is not 100% flush with the oil pump housing as stated in the term. Can someone please take a look at my pictures and tell me if I need to push it more or not. Thanks Ps in some of the pics the seal may look like it's not quite straight but I think that's just the light and shadows playing tricks as it looks very even in person. Ric
if it's 100% flush then it's fine as far as i know.

Using a crank seal press and crank bolt to get it in and it feels it can't go further :| Thank you for the quick reply.
Rob W
When I done mine, I had the face of the seal flush with the oil pump housing. That’s how it’s meant to be. Picture from a few years back now. Edited February 3, 2019 by Rob W Pic added (see edit history)
