Replacement Crank Pulley

Recommended Posts

So the two rings of the crank pulley have seperated (with the inner ring stuck on the car) and I need to source a replacement urgently. The Supra-tax on crank pulleys is pretty terrifying, so ideally I'd get an aftermarket one. I don't suppose anybody could point me in the right direction?

A bit of reading suggests there's a lot of things to avoid when buying them (like lightweight, non-dampened, under drive?) so I'm slightly nervous about fitting something just because the seller says it's fine.

As always any advice is hugely appreciated! OEM is £200+ I was made redundant about 4 hours ago....

Would this be okay? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toyota-Supra-1993-2002-3-0i-BiTurbo-Crank-Crankshaft-Damper-TVD-Pulley/362462973549?fits=Car+Make%3AToyota%7CModel%3ASupra%7CCars+Type%3A3.0i%7CPlat_Gen%3AJZA8_%7CCars+Year%3A1995%7CVariant%3AJZA8_+%5B1993-2002%5D+Coupe&hash=item54647a0e6d:g:JY0AAOSwclVbyd74:rk:1:pf:1&frcectupt=true

I wouldn't fit a Febest one after reading this posted by Chris Wilson recently

Pitiful as in probably never balanced, just as is off the CNC. For laughs I put a Febest or whatever they are called on the balancer and it was a mile out. I too found it rather suspicious it had no drillings for balance... I have a mandrel for balancing the dampers separately from the crank, and for flywheels, the damned thing was jumping off the machine Balancing one, assuming the bonding is as good as OE puts the cost up there with an original, which have always proven bob on. It was customer supplied so after balancing I fitted it and it was hardly a a pull on fit on an unworn crank nose, too. So all in all rather suspect.
