Aiden93
Hey guys, I was moving some old parts around and found a 2nd catalytic converter given to me by the previous owner. I was just wondering what the value of these are now a days? As I've seen a few posts of people after them but nothing on the average value of them now. Thanks in advance
Tommyd16
Last one I saw sell on eBay for £
mplavery
How much you want for it mate I’m interested only if cheap as it’s something I don’t think I will use

jjs_82
Facelift only has one cat
jim_supra
I picked one up a couple months ago in good condition for £
blythmrk
I was thinking £100 posted as they are pretty long and heavy. If you need one it’s far cheaper than new
Aiden93
I could do £60 if it were collected as it saves me the haste of trying to send it by post, it's in pretty good condition also
Frank Bullitt
Picked up one for free last year from a forum member, he didn’t want anything for it.
ellis
Facelift only has one cat No they don't - they have
blythmrk
No they don't - they have 2 The facelift 2nd cat is empty though more like a silencer!
Frank Bullitt
The facelift 2nd cat is empty though more like a silencer! Are you sure someone didn’t knock the internals out to make it look like it had a cat in place? When in reality it was a straight through pipe? blythmrk
No I am told that’s how a facelift one is as standard!
Frank Bullitt
No I am told that’s how a facelift one is as standard! The one I was given last year wasn’t and it came straight of a newly imported freshly decatted vvt-i tiptronic. I could’t see Toyota removing the cat in the midpipe and adding vvt-i to the engine. I’m going to check again but I can’t remember seeing anything mentioned in terms of a revision in any of the paperwork I have. None of my Japanese Toyota tech manuals show anything either. Mine is November ‘97.
jjs_82
As I said the facelift only has one cat.
Frank Bullitt
As I said the facelift only has one cat. How are you so certain?
jim_supra
As I said the facelift only has one cat. Which Cat is it that is no longer used in the facelift, 1st or 2nd?
ellis
As I said the facelift only has one cat. My last Supra was a facelift and it most definitely had 2 (until they were both removed!)
jjs_82
The first one just after the turbo is a cat the next one is a silencer.
jjs_82
How are you so certain? Same inside as a rear box
nigelboyne
There is small cat in 2nd long cat pipe, I can't see younger cars haven less cats emissions be through the roof, supra won't pass mot/nct emissions without one of the cats in, the 1st cat is for start up so make sure your car is roasting going for test or won't pass idle, 2nd cat is for under load from memory around 2.5k rpm. 2nd cat brings co down and hc under 200ppm. Ric
Same inside as a rear box It has 2 and has always had 2. It just doesn't look big and chunky like the first one.
jjs_82
I was trying to put a picture up. Did anyone have a look inside it? Have a look
