Jellybean
Any implications of this? OE brake booster and master is expensive http://www.titanmotorsports.com/brake-booster-eliminator-for-toyota.html
Style
Well it's a booster delete so you'll be booting the pedal a lot harder than before. Wouldn't have thought it would be ideal for a road car
j_jza80
Will make the car unpleasant to drive for sure
el_bandido
Will this not also disable ABS?
j_jza80
Will this not also disable ABS? No, the servo is purely to supplement and multiply pedal force, the ABS is controlled by separate solenoids. In a big, heavy car with big brakes, deleting the servo will presumably make the pedal extremely hard to use.
Big Mark
I assume that if you remove the vac line to your brake servo (blank off the end to the manifold so no vac leak) and go for a drive, that is how bad your brakes will be without servo assistance, I'd not fancy it. Try it in a large empty car park first maybe!
Jellybean
I was able to get the oe brake master at a decent price but reading up on this, users have noted, you don't notice the booster is gone after the intial drive Would like to try it myself so played it save Is it common the gasket between the booster and brake master, weeps?
