BOV on UK spec

My understanding is that strictly speaking you shouldn't use a vent to atmosphere BOV on the UK spec car due to the air metering aspect of the MAF however I and lots of other people run them without any problems.

Some people, I think more with the autos, can suffer from the occasional stalling problems.

The make of BOV is of no consequence AFAIK but with all things some are better than others.

I've had no problems.. and theres no warning lights or anything come on since I've fitted mine other than a nice chirp when the gear is changed.

The HKS is cheaper than the Blitz one (afaik) and makes a decent sound, just get it and enjoy :) BTW I dont think the effect will be the same with an Auto.

I've got one on my Auto, they only work when you let your foot off the gas quickly, if you keep your foot to the floor and let the gears take you then you dont really hear anything,

you have to let off the throttle quickly.

God im a pain!!

what rear pipe?

got a high quality pic if you need, there is a bung cap at back, then a small pipe ontop.

its hard to explain.in pic you can see how easy it is to fit. even though i got mine fitted at well lane garage.

let me know if anyone wants pic. you can find plenty of pics on net of various locations where it can be fitted.

think i would like to fit down in air duct where stock intercooler goes. the blitz one aint loud even though it said it on there website. the hks is very loud.

Ah ha rear pipe, ill try ...... at the moment there is the stock black plastic thing it sits on a metal flang, the flang splits the pipe the fat one i guess thats what you have capped, its only about 50 mm long. and yes the small pipe at the top, I guess if im idoubt ill take it to Leon,

Cheers

Gavin,

Can this be fixed if you keep the stock BOV and have the new one fitted to say the Hard Pipe just after the Throttle body ?
