Scooter
Well a casual browsing of ebay got me the following. Not even tried it yet but the documents and manual are interesting and all looks like a genuine factory/dealership diagnostic tool something I've not seen or heard of before? It has a data reference sheet for the 2jz-gte (and lots of other similar era toyota's and Lexus MR2 mk2 Celica carina rav4 etc) and looks to be able to read real time data and even record and playback about a minute of ECU data. I plan to scan everything I have a some point but attached some bits here for interest. I will try and give it go once i've read through the manual a bit more.Toyota Diagnostic Instruction manual cover.pdfToyota Diagnostic Technical workshop bulletin.pdfToyota Diagnostic letter to dealer.pdf

Rob W
That looks like an interesting bit of kit, look forward to seeing what information you can pull using it
Scooter
The ECU data you can pull is attached, the oxygen sensors can be looked at too as well as the regular 'piece of wire' reading of any fault codes.Toyota Diagnostic Engine codes.pdfToyota Diagnostic ECU readouts.pdf
Mike2JZ
Now that is cool. I played with a DIY version of one of these once upon a time, but refresh rate on live data was super slow so wasn't good for picking up minor changes in a small period of time. Interested to hear your thoughts on the OEM tool. I want one
Annabella
When you become a moderator, you can go on a Grand Tour of the UK and diagnose all our Supras Sounds like a fab piece of kit.
Scooter
I think it's of its era, ie limited in what it can do, but I think it was worth taking a punt on and is sort of a collectable for a Supra nerd!
evinX
Seen something silmilar for the supra but was all in japanese
Swampy442
One of these was for sale a couple of years back, and it was very expensive, also a genuine Toyota ABS tester. Me, I bought an Intelligent Tester II, which covers anything OBD based, except my Supra which is a 98 and probably OBDJ or an OBD1 throwback
