Orchestra of Whistling?

Since the temperature has started dropping now I've noticed a difference in the sounds my turbos are making in the cold. I've got used to the usual whistling noise made by no1 under even the slightest of boost, but recently there seems to be at least another 2 whistles joining in

 

It's really hard to explain but the other noise seems to be coming more from the passenger side area of the engine side than from no1 itself, and is a slightly higher pitch.

 

Being an auto it's hard to check exactly where it's coming from as I don't believe the tubbies will spool at a standstill.

 

It ONLY does this in very cold weather.

 

There certainly seems to be nothing wrong with the car, both turbos spool quickly, boost is slightly higher due to the colder air, and the car goes like a rocket

 

Any ideas?

My 'baby' turbo seems to be whistling louder and at the drop of a hat too.

 

Only started when the weather jsut suddenly cooled about 10 days back. I assume it's whistling away in contentment at the temp drop.

 

Car goes like a rocket too. The second turbo coming online is really noticable now and actually seems to kick more. I'm now beginning to see how it could cause people to lose the back end.

 

I'm still driving like an old lady though!

Cold weather is good for charge temps......I remember my old 205Gti with twin 45 webber carbs, the old carbs used to love the cold air

Indeed, but I didn't think the cold air could make the engine bay sing to itself

ive noticed the 2nd turbo give a real good kick aswell, surprised the f**k out of me the first time it happend! havnt had it long enough to know about different whistles though
