peter richards
I wish lol , rest of the pc is fine , just fb , typical I use it for messaging , contacts with work and that, I clicked on a news link , that's whats brought up this block which then tells me not to turn off the pc and phone a number
jamesmark
Firstly, do not call the number, EVER. Try the basics like clearing you cache on all browsers. Can you access your account from another machine?
peter richards
ok wont phone the number , I guessed its a scam , phil maverick normally looks after my pc but I cant contact him atm , only got it here on my home pc
Annabella
Check your pc, but if every other site is ok it'll be a page or ad or link on faceache that'll be infected. As said reset your browser, or try a different one....
peter richards
ok just went back on there and the block hasn't appeared , so maybe it was a temporary scam , I don't know , see how it goes tomorrow , thank you all again for the advice
charlton
If it shows again, try using private browsing. It will not load any cached page data and should not load that message either (unless there is something else on your computer) I’d also recommend running Malwarebytes to scan your computer and help clear any potential threats
rider
You should check to see if your browser or bookmarks have been hacked. Easily done by copying and pasting the ip address detailed below into your browser bar and hitting return. If it lands on the FB page with no strange messages then you probably have had a bookmark hack. If it ends up with the same strange message then use the ip address in an alternative browser and see what happens. If its OK in an alternative browser then you'd be best uninstalling and reinstalling your preferred browser. FB ip address is 31.13.90.
