PJJ
Hi All Thinking of buying some bits to start going BPU. Have any of you used RHDJapan.Com to buy stuff from as the prices seem very reasonable? Reason I'm asking is I've never bought from abroad before and I know the postage on the site is a lot but it's still cheaper than other places in the UK. Would I have to pay import taxes myself when the goods arrive or is it part of the shipping cost that you pay when you order? Also can anyone recommend them as being a good site to buy from? Any advice greatly appreciated. Regards Paul.

As for import taxes, yes you will have to factor those in on top of the cost of goods and cost of shipping to UK. Anything over £135 will be charged VAT and also customs duty, anything under will just be charged the VAT. Then there is the good old "clearance fee" from parcel force (who handle all overseas parcels now) which is £11.95 for each parcel! Got hit with it only this morning for some parts from Japan, still cheaper than buying from Toyota UK Edit: take a look at the below link to the UK gov website which outlines the charges https://www.gov.uk/goods-sent-from-abroad/tax-and-duty Edited October 15, 2018 by jim_supra added link (see edit history)
Mika
Hi, Yep, I have bought some parts from rhdjapan.com. Excellent customer service.
Kendo11
Yep I've used them and Amayama in the past for parts. Aftermarket and OEM. You'll generally save money despite the extra customs/shipping fees, depending on the size and weight of the package.

Swampy442
You can get all the parts you need in the UK though, plenty of places sell fuel pumps, boost controllers etc Personally any parts Ive tried to buy from RHD have always come back out of stock
squiffy
Rhd are well worth using! i think i paid about £240 incl fees for the greddy oled boost controller that whifbitz wanted £400 for

For example the blitz nur spec r is like half the price of Whifbitz. Even with shipping it's much cheaper. But obviously I've not actually tried to buy it yet.
