ardasaliah
Hi- need some advice on getting a good finish on my callipers. I painted them with a brush- two coats. The problem is that brushing dose not always give the best finish. Can any recommend a way to smooth out the paint. Looks a bit like radiator thats just been painted if you know what I mean Cheers
merckx
Thin the paint a little or use spray paint like I did. Because the caliper isn't a perfect surface, I used Plasti kote silver hammered finish followed by Plasti kote bright red (smooth). They are really nice, the Plasti Kote red was much nicer than the Hammerite stuff.
TRD3000GT
You dont need any really special paint mate... But I would say you would get the best results taking them to a bodyshop and having them spray the calipers and laquer them.... Laquer makes a MASSIVE difference! ardasaliah
Don't think I will remove them from the car. How about a very fine sand paper to even out the surface a little? any one recomend a grade
