djmakz
Hi there, First of all - forgive me if this info is available elsewhere - I did tried to find it and generally failed. Im looking for someone experienced and reliable - ideally as close to South Wales as possible - to install and map an ECU on the basic NA-T setup within next couple of months (the car is not ready yet). Also - I'm in a need for an uprated fuel pump - I was advised to use TT - is it the 195130-1020 or 23221-46110? Is it best sourced from Toyota directly? Is it plug and play? I'd be grateful for opinions on other options. Walbro seems to be somewhat cheaper - are they plug and play too? At this moment I'm looking to stick with stock JDM injectors as they should be sufficient for now, but will be upgraded in the future. Many thanks! Mike2JZ
Whifbitz is probably your closest specialist for that.
Guest Budz86
I'd be surprised if the stock JDM injectors are up to it mate, they are only 440cc and struggle to cope with bpu pretty much, but it will depend on your power goals. UKs are 550cc but need the ignitor pack too if going on a jspec iirc. Also the connectors may be different. If you do decide on aftermarket injectors the key is side feed if you want to keep your OEM fuel rail; SARD and Power Enterprise both sell them. If changing the fuel rail go with top feed as there is more choice. Fuel pump wise I'd use a Walbro over OEM. As to which one, again that will depend on power goals. I used a 255 when I was BPU around 400hp and then twin 485s when I went single at around 850hp, but there are loads. Some also do a 12 volt mod to the wiring to give it a constant 12v with the ignition on to prevent a fluctuating fuel supply under boost.
djmakz
Thanks both for the answers. Ive got 2JZGE JDM, so injectors are 315cc I believe. I was told it should be sufficient up to about 350-380bhp @95-100% and this is my current power goal. I'm aiming to get a NA-T setup for next 3-5 years and then decide what to do next, so prefer to cut any avoidable costs. If there would be reliable and inexpensive solution, then maybe I could add it straight away. Total potential power I am looking to achieve at some point would be about 550-600bhp and although everyone says there is never enough - I feel this would be more than generous power for my driving skills (or lack of it), so if I would look to change injectors as well I would look at 650cc or similar. As to the pump - I was looking at the UK OEM one, which provides 300lph and is apparently more reliable and quieter than walbro. It should provide enough fuel even if I'd decide to keep this GE engine when going full power in the future. I'll start enquiries with my local garages week after next (I'm away) to see whats a cost of the OEM one, but perhaps there are better places than toyota to look for this pump or - as you've advised - perhaps its better to go aftermarket. Thanks again! Max
