Who has a 7 SPEED DCT box in their supra?

Hmmm I'm sure some PC wizadry could make it work with Links or Syvecs :D

 

Syvecs are the problem which led to SRD moving to a MOTEC on the IS-F. They don't allow custom firmware, so someone at Syvecs has to program the gearbox for you, and only if they want to. You need an ECU with an open protocol.

The ZF8hp is used in just about everything at the moment.

 

Just to give you some idea as to why the 8 speed is a vastly better choice than the 7 speed DCT, here is the speed to gear spread on a few options:

More aggressive through the gears and a higher top speed/lower cruising RPM. Not only will it be faster, it won't cost you so much petrol on a motorway run.

 

Interesting numbers, I was auto and went with the 3.2 rear, would be good to see how the M4 DCT gear ratios stack up and I believe there is little to no tunnel work needed to make it fit.
