Sheefa
I would be advertising at £30k and see what interest you get, which my bet is plenty mate.
Swampy442
Its going to hinge on service history, overall condition and rust. Buyers now in general, wont care for mods so that may mark it down a bit, although things like stock fans are available. Given the current market you'll be looking at 20+k if the rust hot spots are clear
formatzero
Nice looking car,£20k plus but as said would depend on condition,UK's getting scarce.
simbasupra
Thanks for the reply guys. What are peoples views on insurance for test drives? Do I allow people to drive only if they can prove fully comp insurance on it?
auzzam
I'd want the asking price in hand at the very least, then it also depends whether you get in the passenger seat with someone who may have never driven anything close to a supra. (Put your own life at risk) Always a tough one, but when I sold my MR2 recently (obviously a lot cheaper) the chap was content with a passenger ride. Sheefa
A recent UK TT6 in silver sold for near enough £30k. I would be aiming this we north of £25k. Cash deposit of at least 10% value with rest to be settled within 2 weeks. That's what I would recommend.
Scooter
Bank transfer is common these days...... I would drive anyone first, if they were making all the right noises, I would let them drive. You can generally sense sensible people and most are respectful of the car and just want to feel the clutch and tightness for themselves, a drive usually seals the deal. Difficult when the value is so much higher now, but being very anti a drive can put people off. Just do want you are comfortable with ( gas anyone had a scary test drive experience?) Would you replace it with something else, if so I'd be interested to know what.
blythmrk
A few pics of the underneath would help but 25k seems about right.
rider
I use to let people do test drives but a few joy riders later I no longer do that. Instead I give buyers, after they part with the cash, a written 30 minutes from time of purchase contract where they can return the car (in its departing condition) for a full refund. Never had anyone return a car and never had to suffer any joy rider either.
Swampy442
No test drives, absolutely no. Take them out yes, but let them drive? No. In my experience they just thrash your car, try and prove they're Jason Plato then dont buy it. But I suppose you suss the person out on the day
