Back of the car or back of the engine? If its the car it could be the fuel pump your hearing which is normal. If its on the engine what kind of sound is it?
Back of the car and i thought so it could be a fuel pump.

That's normal if the starter motor needs reburbing. See first post here: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?70712-Car-reluctant-to-start&highlight=starter+motor
I know that starter motor its 25 year old and cant go forever im just been unlucky lately in the last 2 months i changed (because those parts stop working due to age) following parts diff, radiator, thermostat, water pump, alternator, distributor cap plus rotor arm plus hv leads and now starter motor...well good news is it will be like new under bonnet [emoji23]

A bad battery wouldn't cause the symptoms you described in your first post. The key thing is that your car initially failed to start, then without doing anything, it started fine on the 2nd attempt.

If you have a bad battery you usually get a very slow crank, or just a fast clicking (I guess from the starter motor or associated relays).
