loks
Got my supe cleaned by a valet service yesterday evening - very shiny now BUT when I pulled away the back wheels span on the wet floor and a whole array of warning lights lit up like Disney world and the steering went heavy on the corners. The centre ! light lit up and the 3 right hand warning lights on the left hand side of the steering wheel (battery + 2?) and the far right on the right hand side (oil can). I therefore stopped where I could and turned the engine off but when I tried to restart things just seemed to 'fizz' (technical term ) and nothing...... everything went dead Had a look under the bonnet but couldn't see any signs of water on the battery or around the fuse box. Is it a case of: 1. leave it to dry out overnight? 2. Reset the ECU? 3. Replace the battery? (one year old and no problems previous) I'm sure one of you kind gents has had a similar problem and can put me out my misery.
Bobbeh
Did they Jet wash the engine bay?
Terminator
Sounds suspiciously like water and electrics. Let it dry out and see how it goes you may need to pull the two EFI fuses to reset everything.
loks
They did use a jet wash but as far as I'm aware not directly into the engine Bay Bobbeh. Mr T, I will try the fuses out jobby tomorrow. ...and talking of drying out, I shall be taking a big pill of that myself as I parked the car up right outside a boozer and it was not having any of it, so I proceeded to get well and truely plastered... hoorah! Hope it's still there in the morning though

loks
For the information of those remotely interested, if the following set of warning lights come on it means that the battery is not charging and either the alternator or regulator is fooked and needs replacing. L/H side: battery, sandwich toaster , car tractor beams. Middle: ! (panic button). R/H: oil can over a camp fire. By the way, new alternator from Toyota is over 600 big ones HTH
