18s scraping rear arches.

I've just put a set of jr10s on my car and at the very top of the rear arch it's just catching the wheels maybe like the size of a half circle too dark atm to take a pic. Just wanted to know if maybe the car had been lowered before I brought it and didn't know before I start looking at what to do. The tyres are standard I'm guessing with low profiles they wouldn't rub.

Can you tell us the wheel width and offsets (ET) before thinking about suspension. But also measure the height from the floor to the bottom of the wheel arch. Offsets on non std wheels are usual issue with rubbing

The website willtheyfit.com will explain how these affect the sizing and positioning of wheels (including tyres)

Ok height isn’t the problem, mine are 19” and 65cm so you’ve got room there. It’s the 18ET that’s the issue. You could roll the arches but not usually first option. Maybe change the rears for a better offset

Ideally Rears should be low 40s, I’m down to ET25 I think but below 20 is very hard to accommodate without wide arch or rolled arches
