Lambda sensor "issues"

Recommended Posts

If you have a bad lambda sensor or you remove it then the ECU will make the mixture rich to save the engine and it will run fine.

Rich fuel mixtures resist detonation while lean ones do not, it's just a failsafe to protect the engine.

I've just replaced a bad lambda sensor, it was very rich but running great.

It's running even better now though with the new sensor and it's using less petrol.
