Chrism001 Posted September 2, 2018 Share Posted September 2, 2018 (edited) supra has gathered and annoying steering wheel wobble. get above 50mph roughly and the wheel starts shaking. ive already had all 4 discs replaced as well as the callipers refurbed, ive had wheels balanced twice by two seperate companies, and also had the alloys checked for buckles. ive checked the wheel bearings, all seem solid. ive had the cars geometry professionally setup as well. ive also had a look at all the ball joints and arms up front, all seem fine and in good condition. only thing i havent done is changed the tyres as ive been told this could be the issue but again they are all in good nick with loads of tread left so i doubt that could be the cause. so im all out of ideas and finally admitting defeat, anyone have any ideas to what the problem could be? thanks for any info Edited September 2, 2018 by Chrism001 (see edit history) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Swampy442 Posted September 2, 2018 Share Posted September 2, 2018 My friend had some cheap ass JR wheels, couldn't get them balanced to save his life, ended up getting his cash back so 1 - rep wheels (if fitted) could be at fault. 2 - Tyres do go out of shape so could be that. 3 - Bit of crap between the disc and hub or disc and wheel meaning the wheel doesn't sit flat. Spigot rings or lack thereof could be another cause, and non hub centric spacers too Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
