oxygene
Evening all, I haven't been on here for a very long while! Am looking to get the big red monster going again, he is looking very sorry for himself currently. Currently we are unable to get him started at all. My brother who is doing the spanner work says that there is no signal getting ot the signal wire of the starter. He has tested the starter and it works when bypassed, as do all the solenoids. He has suggested getting a new ECU, as the Supra workshop manuals we've got point back to the ECU if there is a problem starting like we have. Are we barking up the wrong tree please? Regards, Ash
Scooter
Hi Ash, long time! I have a semi broken Ecu, it will test what you need to test though, it just won't go into 4th gear, otherwise it's fine. Could send it to rule the Ecu in/out, but would want it back after
oxygene
Hi Scoot, Yeah that would be awesome thanks! After a bit more investigation, we are questioning the Autowatch 160 RLi thats installed too. It has been in the car for 20 years and could be borked. It's just finding out how to de-wire the thing at the minute to test the theory, any ideas where I could find a wiring guide to temporarily uninstall it please? Swampy442
Does the ECU control the start cycle? I thought it was a simple relay set up. Are all the fuses OK? Id say its an immobiliser problem too, no idea where to find a guide though, sorry
