peter richards Posted June 29, 2018 Share Posted June 29, 2018 hi guys its not for the car , had an oldish alpine but it kept losing the radio channels , so ive got a new sony , went to fit it yesterday , but the iso on the old one is wired into the truck the red wire . ive plugged the sony iso in and everything works , its just I cant get the old iso out and its stopping me pushing the new unit in , , so can I just cut it off Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Al Massey Posted June 29, 2018 Share Posted June 29, 2018 It kept losing the radio channels because it didn’t have a live feed into the memory. If you just swap the red and yellows over, so one half red and the other yellow and then one half yellow and the other red. That will fix that problem. Do you have a picture of what is there? peter richards Posted June 29, 2018 Author Share Posted June 29, 2018 I can get one al, I looked on you tube and found that fix , but its only just started to do it , been fine for a few years , so its just one red wire that's from the old iso which if it wasn't for this wire would have come away , so do I cut it or not , the new sony is working fine just cant push it all rthe way in due to the old iso being in the way Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
