djmakz
Hi there, I had a car for a full valet and got some problems since. Another one I have just noticed is passanger window doesnt work at all from neither switch. Drivers is fine. I was looking to test out if its a power motor, a switch or something else. I have managed to check the voltage on the cable connected to the motor and it seems to be very low, variates between 1-3v, drivers side cable provides proper 12v. Tried to connect 12v straight to the motor as well but doesnt do anything. Id be grateful for any information as to what else to try before I'll get replacements and if the above proves the motor is dead? What could affect the voltage? What else to try? Thanks! ellis
Has the switch on the drivers side been pressed that stops that side working - might have happened during the valet? Worth checking as I had the same issue once and that's all it was - felt a right plum when I figured it!
djmakz
Thanks for the response. If you mean drivers side window, it operates as normal. If you mean the passenger window drivers side switch, its not pressed, simply doesnt work either nothing happens, no noise.
ellis
No, meant the little square button with the cross through it - when pressed it stops the passenger window from opening.
djmakz
ellis. Im embaressed to say you were absolutely right. The left panel switch needs to be in as well for it to operate (seems right panel just sends a signal to the left panel), but the window was just switched off. I wouldnt say I wasnt aware of this switch, as Ive seen it countless times, but never used it and quite honestly havent even crossed my mind. THANK YOU works again!
