peter richards Posted June 22, 2018 Share Posted June 22, 2018 guys got an alpine in the truck , been in for a while all working great but the last few months it wont keep the radio channels , if I set it 1 radio1 2 local station and so on , if I select one after about 5mins it changes to like radio 4 or some other channel . looked on you tube and theres a few on there where the yellow wire needs a constant power feed , but that's when the set losses all its settings . any help appreciated before I buy another . and nowaks to tight to sell me his lol Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
j_jza80 Posted June 24, 2018 Share Posted June 24, 2018 The yellow wire on all DIN stereos needs a constant 12v feed the 12v ignition wire is the red one. Having them backwards would only normally wipe the memory when the ignition is turned off. Have you checked to see whether the stereo is in a Demo mode?
