Why T
Hi all. Haven’t been on here in a while as the fortune died on me a while ago and I really struggle to find time to have a go at fixing. I have been neglecting her badly and I feel bad. So, I am wanting to get her up and running again but I need help. I am located in Cambridge and was wondering if anyone is willing to come down and we can all brainstorm as to what the problem is. Maybe even plug in a std ecu or something I don’t know. Just really want her running again. Thanks guys Shane

Why T
What's up with it mate? It broke down a while back. Orrigional Lt I thought the syvecs had given out but the ecu itself has been tested and works fine. She turns but just doesn’t fire. A lot of error messages on the toucan. Tried to get someone to remote in but hard

Why T
Did you ever check the earths? No mate. Like I said. Hard to find time with work and I haven’t got a clue where the earths will be. Not good at wiring unless it’s audio.

Guest Budz86
Have you plugged a laptop into the syvecs to see the errors it's stored? That would be my first port of call. What's it showing on the Toucan?
Tommyd16
Do u have a multi meter? Maybe start by checking crank position sensor and can sensors etc. Simple check measuring resistance. My first Supra wouldn’t fire. Garage couldn’t figure it out and I took it off them. Check the sensors and the crank position sensor had failed. Fitted a new one from keron got me. Cost about £90 and sorted it straight away

I have plugged it in but I couldn’t see what was showing as I’m not 100% on how it works hence why I been trying to get someone to remote in. Tommyd16
After the pic of the fault codes as said in a previous post could well be an earth as there is afew faults that don’t seem to be related in any other way.

Tommyd16
Here are all the ground points. Worth a check. Can also try disconnecting them and cleaning up with scotch bright to remove any corrosion for better connection. Simple things you can do before for free before spending money on labour etc
Tommyd16
Picture quality sucks because I screenshoted off my phone but there are in the electrical bit of the repair manual you can access from the home page
Guest Budz86
Looking at that most of the sensors are on the intake side so I'd check the main engine and chasis earth's. It's likely the one on the chassis leg has a bit of corrosion. If I'm honest though, my first instinct looking at that is no fuel pressure. When you turn the key you can usually hear the fuel pump whirring as they prime; you still getting that? If it sounds like you are you can switch to "Smon" with the syvecs software and check the fuel pressure on start-up, as well as oil pressure. Ignore the coolant temp as it looks like it's just not showing as hot enough after the warm up cycle. Probably an odd event or needs a tweak to the map
jagman
The failures seem to voltage connected ( low volts will effect all sensors) - so earths as suggested , starting with the battery and then supply voltage check - the ECU plug would be a good place to check and check it for any pushed back pins (I have had that ) Probably not as hard as it first seems , need man with a meter and wire diagrams

Starting with the engine earths and listing for the fuel pump but I’m sure the pumps were working last time I tried Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Bladerider
Call Martin Battye at MB Automotive. He's an arrogant arse, but he does know what he's doing, is a Syvecs specialist and is near Huntingdon I think so might even be able to come to you. J.
