Cig lighter - how does it go back together?!

FFS, a bloody HOUR trying to get this effing thing back in the dash, HOW DOES IT FIT FOR GAWD SAKE!!

The bit on the left goes infront of the dash. Now does just the metal ringed bit go infront of that OR does the grey bit go through it as well? The whole thing seems incrediably tight and I'm worried I'm going to break it. I've got the grey bit and the metal ringed bit right because there's some little lugs and slots that all line up, so as shown they are correct, but what is meant to poke through the black bit?

Thought I would get my car back together tonight, but all I've managed to do is get the heater assembly screwed back in along with the boost gauge and air vent. That took 5 mins and then I got stuck on this DAMN THING again.

So what's meant to go where?!

Okay, I think I've done it. It all seems to have clipped together securely and tightly apart from the black bit on the right that doesn't seem to do anything or clip into anything. And I broke off a little lug while trying to work it out! Ho hum, at least the main bits are together.

Ok, great. Now, how'd you do it? I'm stuck on this part in the middle of my removal. How does the lighter come out/apart? Does the black outter-ring part that shows from the front come out first? I've got the black covering shrowd off the back. Now there's the great part and the metal part with the green parts on it. What is the process here? Help!

still haven't figured this part out and I need the step by step with this one fellas.. i.e. put the tip of a flathead screwdriver in this bit next to this part and twist whilest pulling this part from that, then turn and remove A from B... Details please! I am in the middle of a dash refurb and am now stalled. Preash.
