I'm still alive

I haven't visited here much since selling the Supra, but I see there are still some familiar names around. :)

I've finally bought something decent worthy of replacing the Supra. I'd been looking at several different cars, but none of which offered a manual option. I decided on a whim the other weekend that I wasn't ready to give up a manual gearbox just yet, so went out and bought an E92 M3! OK it's not a Supra, but that V8 howl is addictive, and it just grips and goes. I'm loving it so far!

There is life out there after the Supra folks!

Lovely, i really fancied getting the E93 but got put off by the rod bearing issues, are you getting an oil test done ?

At some point, but the issues seem largely blown out of proportion, and mainly happened in the US.

Yes agreed you get to hear about the failures rather than the good ones, i read quite a few here though

and with massively varying mileages, think i'd do the test sooner rather than later just for peace of mind

I saw you posting out of the blue on a couple of threads today, welcome back! :) Lovely car, aggressive looking bastard isn't it!

It's no shrinking violet that's for sure. Seeing people wind their windows down as you pass always amuses. :D

Very nice, I've been eyeing up a front lip. Which one is that?

Car has AC Shnitzer exhaust with x-pipe and primary decat already. Remap in a couple of weeks, mainly to remove the horrendously loud cold start cycle.

It’s a carbon Challenge front lip. Where you going for the remap? I had the cold start removed too as well as the limit raised from 8300 to 8500! Car also has the 2.5 PCW exhaust mod and with the decat and stage 2 sounds, according to Wile, angry!

Like you say, these things just grip and go and that noise is awesome and addictive.

Yours looks gorgeous murdered like that.

Very nice, looks fantastic in black, i keep looking at these also, how does it compare to a bpu supra power wise?

They’re around 410bhp as standard but with primary decat and remap you’re up to 435-440bhp (I’m currently at 435).

It will give BPU a sore arse!

RS Tuning in Leeds already asked that they can do the cold start delete and raise rev limit. They've actually recently mapped a supercharged one too.

More power, slightly less torque.

Well I've been enjoying the M3 immensely... until the dash lit up like a Christmas tree the other week. Pulling the error codes, and it's the dreaded throttle actuators. Two of them, around £600 a piece, and a lot of labour. Thankfully I did purchase a third party warranty with the car, although it still won't cover all the cost. :(

Booked into BMW next week, and once it's gotten a clean bill of health again, I'll be looking at supercharging. :D
