Graham1984
In March I gave a guy I work with a lift to Wales to see a T4 camper van. On the way there we stopped at a service station MOTO Cardiff around 9am, left about 30 minutes later and went and looked at a van in Bridgend and then returned there a couple of hours later. I've had a parking charge come through claiming I'd been there more than 3hours and that they'd sent a letter previously which they didn't. I have responded via their appeals process which I probably shouldn't of done claiming they're wrong and I have two people that can vouch for me. Sadly I didn't have location services on that would prove otherwise- I'll gladly tell them I'll go to court over it.... Just after advice more than anything. Graham1984
Also it's funny how the camera only caught me leaving the 2nd time too.

bignum
It`ll never get to court, just ignore every letter from now on.

I thought the ignore tactic would be the best option, didn't help I'd had a few beers when I came in earlier and opened the letter

Havard
Graham, ask them to prove that the signage is adequate and claim you didn't see any signs when you were there. They won't be bothered taking photographs of every sign and showing a plan and will bin the ticket. Also ask them to prove if there has been any changes to the size or quantity of signs since your visit as you are unable to prove otherwise if they have changed anything. I had this with the Runcorn toll earlier in the year and won. If this is in addition to your argument about the camera not picking you up twice, then I doubt it will go any further. Don't say that the other two people are "friends" as they won't believe you, especially if they read your posts on here. H.

I think the guy I went with has his location settings on, so it should show up on Google maps that we were in Bridgend from around 10am till near 12, plus ironic they didn't catch me leaving and returning again- just the first arrival and second departure Only one guy was a friend, I said the other was someone he was buying a van from, the guys wife even made me a cup of tea. Done a touch of reading about it and ignore is the main advice, and expect 3 DRP letters in the future. I'm currently trying to shape their letter into various paper hats that I'll wear and send selfies highlighting their logo on any further correspondence. If I get a phone call I'll get them to hold on whilst I call my solicitor father for advice...
Big Mark
I got sent a parking fine similar to you. I wrote them a letter clearly stating their errors and saying that as they have no power of enforcement then I will be more than happy to see them in court. I got a letter a couple of weeks letter from them saying the fine had been cancelled.

Havard
I wouldn't ignore it Graham as that looks like ignorance. I would just write to them stating your case and ask them a shit load of questions that will make them need to do research. H.

peter richards
a neighbour of mine was in a shopping complex car park early in the morning for about 30 mins . went back later that day pm , and had a ticket sent to him , so the camera systems obviously don't work properly and that's the point I would stick with mate . unfortunately he paid it as he wasn't up on disputes and stuff

As far as I’m concerned I’ve got 3 witnesses that have seen myself and car be elsewhere during the time they state, and potentially my passengers phone showing our location elsewhere too. I’ll also be seeking compensation for myself for time off work and preparing my defence, along with any witnesses lost time costs, travelling/parking the works if they try to play hardball
Graham1984
The main thing for me is if I was guilty I’d still contest it for personal gain and amusement- it’s the fact I’m 100% innocent that annoys me.

Tricky-Ricky
I had one from the parking company Lidl employ because I went over their 90 min limit by 10 mins, so I just emailed the CEO and kicked off and told them what I thought, and would cease to use their shop...never heard another word from them.
