keith 73tt
hello folks, just looking for some help identifying a small blue hose coming from the side of the ETCS on my 1997 Jap RZ TT . the hose is clipped to the side of the throttle cable and is pretty much following it into a hole in the back of the drivers side wing ( near the bulkhead ) it is leaking air and i can see that it has totally perished and snapped off from whereever it terminates !. for info the blue hose comes out of the ETCS into a small white connector of some sort then continues as a small black hose down into the wing. it was the hissing o the air that alerted me to the problem - i could actually hear it coming from the drivers footwell to begin with. any and all help much appreciated ! fastcar
It’s normally for a boost gauge or a boost controller. It’s taken from the plenum as pressure reference

keith 73tt
It’s normally for a boost gauge or a boost controller. It’s taken from the plenum as pressure reference there was an aftermarket Apexi boost guage in the car when I bought it mate. There seems to be a constant supply of air coming from the hose as soon as i start the motor... i presume it needs to go back to the same spot it was plumbed into ? looks like a pig to get at it though...front wing off after taking off he veilside side-skirt ( skirts are getting old and fragile ) . would I be right in saying the car should run fine...but just that the guage would not be functioning.. thanks again. MRX
Can probably be removed then if you no longer have the Boost guage?

Does the guage you have now still work then with this hose leaking air?

Does the guage you have now still work then with this hose leaking air? just checked and the answer is no ! further to that i found the broken end of the perished hose just above the accelerator pedal, so i will just run in some new hose. thanks for all the replies chaps !
