Removing fuel pump cover - Tool

Recommended Posts

Hi all, what tools do you use to remove the fuel pump cover? I see some use a chizel and hammer but have seen some strap wrenches that look more freindly to the plastic cover. Any one got any recommendations and mesaurements for the size of the cover?

Cheers Kev

I used a hammer and screwdriver on mine - more than a few times now, and it's fairly mullered😂

I've actually been searching for an undamaged replacement ring, as I plan to make a tool specifically for the job.

A strap wrench is also a good idea, from memory the 'ring' is circa 6" diameter
