evinX
Hi all, what tools do you use to remove the fuel pump cover? I see some use a chizel and hammer but have seen some strap wrenches that look more freindly to the plastic cover. Any one got any recommendations and mesaurements for the size of the cover? Cheers Kev
Mk4Gaz
I used a hammer and screwdriver on mine - more than a few times now, and it's fairly mullered I've actually been searching for an undamaged replacement ring, as I plan to make a tool specifically for the job. A strap wrench is also a good idea, from memory the 'ring' is circa 6" diameter
evinX
Looking at something like this, looks like a tough design that could take some pressure without breaking https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BOA-ALI-Aluminium-Strap-Wrench-10-305mm/192100802325?epid=5012068164&hash=item2cba199f15:g:IbIAAOSwb0VanebD
AC93
I used a piece of wood and a hammer, no damage at all!
