jza800
The old version of the Oem Toyota/Lexus V8 (Japan made one, not the new ones which are from China) oil filter uses similar kind of filter element inside of the metal core than the TRD 90915-SP020 filter uses. New Oem Toyota Supra oil filter has different, like normal paper element inside. Please take a look of these MKIV.com articles. Toyota oil filters – Toyota 90915-20004 vs. Toyota 08922-02011 vs. Mobil1: http://mkiv.com/techarticles/parts/toyota_filter/index.html TRD oil filters – TRD USA vs. TRD Japan Oil Filters: http://mkiv.com/techarticles/parts/toyota_filter/trd_filters/index.html I know these articles are old but I hoared the original Japan made 90915-20004 filters while these were available and also some TRD 90915-SP020 filters as these two has quite similar style filter elements inside. so what you a saying is that 90915-20004 and the trd filter are close to the same inside??? Mika
The filter elements are not the same between old style Lexus/Toyota V8 filter and the TRD 90915-SP020, but the filtering material between those two are more same kind vs. the Toyota Oem Supra filter which is more like a normal paper element. But I have never seen anyone to complain the Toyota Oem Supra filter. All of these filters are Oem Toyota parts so I don't think that you could go wrong with any of these.
