Jellybean
Hi Car: 2JZGTE JDM PT 6466 Gen2 ECU: Motec M1 ECU with provisions for Water methanol **In Ireland , its near impossible to get E85 , Flexi fuel sensor is not a viable option John Reed firmware is based upon MoTeC GPR package which includes the following features: Water injection control - with failsafe for boost/timing/fuel based on pressure sensor feedback Water injection: John said he usually grabs pump and nozzle. Reservoir depends application. Then I just use a relay to let the M1 trigger the pump, and a 150psi pressure sensor in the meth line between pump and nozzle for the failsafe.PT Any recommendations on , pump , nozzle , relay and pressure sensor ? I was talking to Dave Rowe but he never got back yet with recommendations
Frank Bullitt
Speak to Richard at Aquamist, he will be able to sort you out with something.

Jellybean
Cool thanks AEM kit is a waste of money as I do not need the controller
Frank Bullitt
Cool thanks AEM kit is a waste of money as I do not need the controller AEM is shyte in comparison. As you have the best aftermarket ECU you might as well go for the best WI available.

pf85
Hi Jellybean, What did you end up going for in the end? I am considering fitting a Water Meth Injection kit to mine..
Jellybean
Currently having it installed but I just need a relay and pump, nozzle to work with my ecu Was told the aem pump works reliable but I don't want to buy the whole kit as not needed Aquamist, I gave up trying to get a reply
phobos
We've just integrated a Snow Performance kit into a 996T with MaxxECU. The kit is however only used for spraying water on the intercoolers (which works like a charm). The kit was pre-installed when we installed the MaxxECU and connected to the OEM MAF sensor IIRC. The controller expects a 0-5V signal you can configure the voltage levels where it starts spraying and where it is running the pmp at full power. We set the starting level to slightly above 0V and full power level to slightly below 5V. In the MaxxECU we can now control the kit with a map based on IAT, boost, or whatever we like. The basic principle would be the same for water-meth injection. We only need to add a pressure sensor to the water lines, that's missing in the kit. - - - Updated - - - We've just integrated a Snow Performance kit into a 996T with MaxxECU. jjs_82
Where you going to get the methanol?
Wez
Why is a flexfuel not viable. If you can get methanol for WI kit you could mix in the tank with flexfuel and not have all the extra WI kit to go wrong, I am guessing your ECU can support flexfuel, if not then obviously this is not an option

Jellybean
Can I ask a noob question, flexi fuel sensor Does this run with ethanol only or can it run with methanol? Does it require a specific tune for each? Big price difference between methanol and ethanol
