D1andonlyantman
Hi everyone. Going to pick up a fresh import on sat. For those who have followed my never ending search, it's the one I viewed on Saturday. Mint underside, drives nice, but the interior needs work. Anyway, it's got no alarm and my insurer says I need one. Any recommendations please? Also should I fit it myself or is it tougher than fitting gauges for example, and I should get a professional to do it? Does it need to be signed off anyway so I can't even do it myself? Thanks Edited March 14, 2018 by D1andonlyantman (see edit history)
Delboy52
I used this guy Dave Knight at http://www.dkcas.co.uk/ to fit a Clifford Concept 650 with a few extra features. Removed the one that was in there and fitted the new on my drive as he is a mobile unit. Great to speak with, quick on emails, and did the job well and promptly. D1andonlyantman
You get a certificate and all that? I guess insurers don't just take a receipt for the alarm as proof? Haha
Delboy52
Yep, installation certificate to go with it for the insurers to sleep easy

Delboy52
What did it cost you roughly? £634 for the 650 MKII, tilt sensor, glass breackage sensor, and removal of the old alarm.
D1andonlyantman
Corr, the bill keeps on climbing lol he said he can do one for 400 quid, alarm and immob. Will go for that I think
Delboy52
I had optional extras so that pumped the bill up. It would've been what you've already been quoted more or less otherwise.
D1andonlyantman
Got the cobra fitted. Does exactly what it says on the tin. All doors, boot, bonnet and A-pillars have sensors. Good bloke. Cheers for the recommendation
