Frank Bullitt
They are both on/off. If you don’t understand what is clearly written in the links give an auto electrician a call I am sure they will explain it to you.

Ric
The diagrams show it pretty clearly. One operates both sides of the switch so it turns on 2x circuits (off and on x2) The other one turns on 2 circuits separately with 4 devices or 2 devices (On x2 and on x4) Edited March 14, 2018 by Ric (see edit history)

Ric
No, turning the switch to on would activate 2 circuits. DPST Edited March 14, 2018 by Ric (see edit history)
jza800
No, turning the switch to on would activate 2 circuits. DPST https://jza80.mkivsupra.net/imports/2018/03/265.jpg The switch i have attach is a dpdt and not a dpst.
Ric
It cannot be. DPDT has off only in the middle or no off at all. one side is on 2 circuits and the other on is the other 2 circuits afaik anyway
jza800
now i understand nothing, it is bought as a dpdt, but need a dpst. and on this link you have another switch identical to the one i have https://www.sparkfun.com/products/retired/11139

I would expect it's uses to perhaps be a LED marking the switch as OFF for example.
