ripped_fear
Hey guys second turbo has stopped spooling but it's not the iacv vsv as I have tried ttc and swapped vsv. Anything else to check other than chasing a vac leak. Thanks in advance J

ripped_fear
Hi Jake, is it making any other sort of noises that it doesn't normally? All good mate other than that, got a few things to check, exhaust gas valve which i think i have sourced and some vsvs which i have to, just to cold to start wrenching on it - - - Updated - - - not going fast enough [emoji57] /QUOTE] Should have known you would comment

ben_harmer32
time to go single do the parrell mod. That'll rule out a load of vac lines and some VSVs
coza
i had issues with this a while back spit vac hose caused it
ripped_fear
don't think ive ever had mine workingWhat?! time to go single do the parrell mod. That'll rule out a load of vac lines and some VSVsNot happening. And read post 1 tried ttc and didn't help so that rules out the iacv vsvi had issues with this a while back spit vac hose caused itYeah thought a vac leak could be likely but given them a visual and sprayed it all with soapy water and ran the car no sign of bubbling, could do with doing a smoke test really. Going tbh I haven't attempted to solve it since I posted this thread. To cold to work in the garage for any length of time.

Anything else to check other than chasing a vac leak. Thanks in advance J /QUOTE] Hi Jake its been a while Having just changed my turbos I would look at the following ESGV for operation and vac hose for integrity Exhaust bypass on the turbo for operation and vac pipes for integrity VSV. Hear me out mate. I would test the solenoid operates. The vac hose going back to no2 tubby are a pita. I changed all mine for gate hoses when I did the turbo change. If you takes no2 tubby air inlet off you can check the turbo is free to turn but doubt it will be a damaged turbo as you would have heard something. JasonR24
Alright mate I reckon it’s the exhaust valve, see how you get on with that. Also check the hose behind the engine that goes to the second turbo. Mine was split and did the same thing Edited March 4, 2018 by JasonR24 (see edit history)
Rob W
Check your EGCV actuator rod is not stuck if your sure your VSV’s are all ok.
ripped_fear
Thanks guys lots of ideas but looks like I may have sorted it. Puffed some smoke into the iacv vsv vac line and loads of smoke appeared behind the plenum. Found a vac line right at the bottom disconnected have plugged it back in and just need to test it now. Graham1984
Does the test involve gunning it down the road? If not, why not.
