2jzjay
I've noticed during my rebuild the genuine full engine gasket kit has come with 3 unidentified gaskets.... 2x large metal exhaust gaskets, with 3 stud holes and 2 large centre holes?? Don't seem to have a home on my setup...standard uk TT. Also, an 1x exhaust O ring/crush ring gasket which I believe is supposed to be for where the downpipe meets the exhaust bypass valve assy.....but my aftermarket downpipe seemed to have a 3 hole exhaust gasket and not an o ring style. But due to there not being a recess for an o ring, don't think I can use it and struggling to find a gasket to match... Has anyone come across these issues?? Thanks
Mk4Gaz
Can you post pictures of the items in question. Would make it much easier to identify

jonc
Sounds like the gaskets either side of the exhaust bypass valve and the sinlge round spiral wound is for no1 cat.
2jzjay
That's what I would have thought... but my bypass valve has 2 o ring style gaskets on one side and a 3 hole gasket on the other...
Chris Wilson
Clean the turbo elbow casting face and the decat pipe flange and use exhaust assembly paste, there's no real pressure there (or there shouldn't be) and this will be fine. You can't use the spiral ring with 99% of de cat pipes, as you say, no recess.
