Tommyd16
So the seat bolster on my recaro is well and truly knakkered! So I bought some replacement foam and had a crack at it tonight I have foam for the side support aswell but I haven’t got a clue how to get to it. Might just wait and take it to the trimmers because the material is well worn as well
j_jza80
How did you get the side/back bolster foam? I thought they were discontinued for the unique Supra type Recaro seat?
Tommyd16
From capital seats. The seats army Supra unique I don’t believe. Just early SR type seats
j_jza80
Ive done this repair myself, and bought the parts from capital seating. You will find that if you have Supra specific confetti seats the shoulder bolsters on the new foams wont be big enough. But if yours are the type fitted to the st205 then you should be fine. Tommyd16
I’ll have to check. How do you strip the top down?
j_jza80
IIRC i had to pull the reliner handle and wheel off the side, then you unclip the fabric at the bottom of the back rest, then it pulls over. I think the harness holes are 2 sections (front and rear) which unclip, but it was some time ago. There may also be a metal ring at each end of tge bottom which need opening up. Hammer
That's good work, well done. I've got to get mine sorted, keep us updated how you get on doing the upper part.
