B3any
Just had the above fitted Gents, i guessed the screw at the back adjusts pressure, what kinda noise dya get if you screw it in more and if you screw it out less???
GavinL
If you want to change the tone you buy a purple insert.
Bobbeh
From my experience running stock boost levels, the tighter the screw the sharper the noise, you get a better sound. I think it needs to be losend the more boost you're running tho.. someone with actual knowlage can take over from me now..

B3any
but what about the screw?
Alex
The screw adjusts the blow off nature of the SQV, by tightening and loosening the spring. Just leave it alone. Unless you feel boost is leaking. Then tighten it just a 1/4 turn at a time.
B3any
I think, i'm best leaving it alone arent i?

Bobbeh
I couldnt help but play with my nut Sounds better for it though, I screwed it a little tighter. Probably not too much different from how it came though.
Terminator
How did the sound change? This should get interesting.
Bobbeh
Dunno.. more of a sharper whistle.
B3any
Hmmmm, would you say it was louder Bobbeh......?
Alex
The spring is under more pressure to not open the valve. This changes the sound to more of a whistle than a whoosh...the more you wind it up the harder it is to open and the less it does open and therefore, less air escape's - thus bypassing the entire reason for having it. If you want to fiddle then only do so by a 1/4 turn at a time. But there really is no gain to be had.
Bobbeh
Originally posted by B3any Hmmmm, would you say it was louder Bobbeh......? Yeah, it spat it out sharper whistle than the drawn out gush b4. This was pretty crude testing though, I'll probably have another play with it on the weekend. As Alex said though, I only ended up going back to the sort fo position it came as, maybe a little tighter. So probably wise to leave it how it comes.
