Guigsy
Hi guys. Was going to get my car painted white with a gold pearl. Not a full windows out job. Just external panels as a bit of a refresh (car is already white). But there is a colour iv always loved. I wouldn’t want the car painted in it and then leave the engine bay white etc. And I’d like to go back to White at some point. So iv been thinking of having it wrapped in that colour (it’s a metallic not Matt or gloss). The paint at the mo is dull and faded. A bit of lacquer peel on one area. Some parking dents that would need to be smoothed over. I can probably do those myself. And a bit of rust is starting to creep in on the arches if you look hard enough. I might end up getting the body shop to remove and smooth the dents and the bits of rust and then getting it done so it looks its best. So. To the main point. What’s the rough cost of wrapping a supra in a metallic colour? Just looking for a ballpark figure. Anyone had it done that can advise Cheers
Big Mark
Depends on how well you want it done and do you want all the door shuts done etc. Most wraps look good from far but up close can be poor. A cheap one definitely will be poor up close. Best wrap I've seen by far is on Littlenum's car!!! Looks awesome up close.
Guigsy
Yeah. Iv seen a few that have been a bit iffy. I’d probably get the door shuts done too. But I’d only have it on for a few years I’d imagine.
rg500
Have you thought about having it done with plasti dip also known as auto flex there are you tube videos from a company that does it in the states the finished look is mind blowing, I have found places in the UK that do it so it’s already been done over here. Look at this website car-cote.co.uk Hope this helps. Edited February 1, 2018 by rg500 Additional information (see edit history)

Guigsy
I know the price is going to vary on what colour I choose. I have 3 In Mind but I want to see what they look like in person. One is a metallic gloss standard kinda colour. Another is a pearl with what looks like some flake. And another is a one of the expensive ones with a bit of a flip. Arranged to go have a look and a chat with a local place tomorrow. As it’s hard to tell the colours unless your in person. They say 1500 as a ballpark kinda price for something the size. Of a supra. But obviously more for the more fancy ones.
Nash
As someone who's had there car wrapped I strongly recomend paint. I do not recomend wrap to anyone now. Would you like to tell us why ?
tayr
You get what you pay for with wraps. I’ve had two wrapped cars. One cheap, one expensive. Expensive always looked better You’re looking at about 2-2500 with doorshuts or about 1500-2000 without Personally I’d either go paint, or liquid wrap (sprayed on like paint but can peel when you don’t want it any more )
ben_harmer32
Would you like to tell us why ? Unless your paint work underneath is in really good condition then chances are the wrap won't stick properly. Also if you have slightly unusual shapes to bumpers etc. they have to cut the wrap to get it to fit and you end up with joins. When I had mine done I ended up painting the skirts, spats, bumper and mirrors to match.
