Axl
Will anyone beat the Merc's ! If Ferrari don’t beat them this year will they bother with the 2019 season
peter richards
got to be looking at formula E , might find they move over there in some capacity , new technology and all that
Pete
I gave up half way through last year, after 6 years of not missing a race and attending three. Let's see if I can get more enthusiasm for it this year.
johnny g
I think the big battle next year will be with the Renault powered teams. McLaren and RedBull having some battles, with a hope they can trouble Mercedes and Ferrari
Hobgoblin
I think the big battle next year will be with the Renault powered teams. McLaren and RedBull having some battles, with a hope they can trouble Mercedes and Ferrari I sure hope so, I have £50 on Alonso to be 2018 champion! Style
Formula E really do seem to be doing their best to grow the sport but they need better tracks before it goes any further IMO. Street circuits where you can barely fit 1 car, never mind 2, around some parts just ends in disaster.
T2 MSW
Im looking forward to the start of testing to see if Reno can get their act together and allow Redbull and McLaren for that matter to get up among the Mercs and ferrari's. If we can get a good 4 team battle it will be an interesting year.
jamesmark
With all this toys out the pram throwing by Ferrari, part of me thinks will F1 not actually be better if they did leave. Apart form the dominance of Merc, surely from a politics and revenue share it would be better for the smaller teams and encourage more teams to venture into F1 as the prize fund would/should be fairer. T2 MSW
What are the organisers playing at with the new Start times. There are now about 2 races that start around lunch time WTF!?!?! That blows by 20 odd year tradition of scones and tea with F1 at my parents house for lunch! What we going to do now have them as a mid afternoon snack an hour before tea time - start time change is utter stupidity IMO I think the Grid kids move is a good idea though
johnny g
Updated the first post with some more launch details - just three teams left to announce.
Dnk
Well i personally would prefer the grid girls, if they want up and coming stars of tomorrow from karting etc on the grid they should invite them rather than have them doing this. jim_supra
Haas have released digital images of their 2018 car, looks nice IMO, even with the halo. Still a sizeable fin on the back though, or at least bigger than I would expect with shark fins being banned. At least the T wing has gone! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/43061441
Dnk
Clever how the dark background hides the halo Car looks good but the halo when seen for real will look crap
T2 MSW
There are going to be some sexy looking cards on the F1 grid this year. the new alfa Sauber looks mint and The new Redbull looks cool as, if they choose to race that livery of course! mattdavies
The new regulations under Liberty media are aimed at lowering the costs associated with F1 and to get more teams / engine suppliers in, having said this I cant help think that there is no commitment from Cosworth or the other engine manufacturer that they will even enter in the future. All I see is a worst off f1 grid with less engines for the season and no new manufacturers on board.
