Toyota Aristo - MK1 Parts

Got a 1991 Toyota Aristo MK1 that I'm taking the GTE engine out of to put into my MK4 Supra GE. I don't think I will have the time to put the GE engine into the Aristo so i'm wondering if anyone would be interested in parts from it. If not, the car will be scrapped I guess.

PM me if you need anything.

Also let me know if this shouldn't go in this thread.

Thanks,

The car is sound as i know, there is a scratch on the rear bumper but that's the only exterior damage i know of. PM me your email address and I'll send over some photos.

No, i need to make up or buy the first section of the exhaust as it's different. Do you know if I can take the sump off the GE and put it on the GTE? It'll be fun. Hopefully ready for summer!

I know another Aristo gone RIP. I need the space. I've been thinking about what I'd rather, Supra or Aristo ... Supra

Just read that thread ^, the Aristo I have is complete and has the non-vvti 2JZ which is going into the GE Supra.

The changes as far as I understand are:

Sump which I'm hoping can be interchanged from the GE engine I have over the the GTE engine to fit over the subframe.

Engine mounts which I also hope to change over with the engine

The loom, or parts of it.

1st section of the exhaust

Anything else im missing. Why does the water pump need to be replaced?

Aristo's use a really clever, ECU controlled hydraulic cooling fan, Supra just uses a dumb viscous drive unit. Another reason why you'll have wiring/warning issues. And the ABS is totally different, Aristo uses a nitrogen accumulator powered combined ABS/TRC/Brake unit whilst a Supra has a traditional master cylinder so you'll have that to overcome too

Are we still on with this Al? I need to know before I make any rash decisions with this.

Either I take the engine out and give it to Hidden Performance to transplant. Don't think I will need the engine loom as I need a manual one. so that can be sold along with the diff and TT auto box and the shell / interior parts / wheels / brakes ...

Or sell it.

They have my car down there. If you go down at any point soon tell them I said you can have the boot blind you were after. I'm sure it's in there at least lol

Swampy! Small world, but as you said, there aren’t many of these cars about haha! Did you have an Aristo? Thanks Karl! I hope to get the headlights back from refurb this weekend so I can finally go out in it after 3 months of it sitting in the garage. image
