2jzjay
Hey chaps.... after a little advise Currently having my block bored out to 86.5mm, Looking at getting some JE pistons as they are the most reasonably priced. Has anyone had any issues with them? Or feel free to throw some other good VFM options in there ☺ And any best places to purchase from...... need them fairly quickly Thanks in advance for any help! Supra-love
Might be wrong here but I think JE pistons are known for a bit of piston slap when cold. I would opt for MAHLE ProSeries piston http://www.garagewhifbitz.co.uk/toyota/supra/engine-components/bottom-end-parts/mahle-1728.html Edited January 3, 2018 by Supra-love (see edit history)

Paul Whiffin
Manley are good too yes, we keep them on the shelf here....
bignum
You will get some piston slap with most aftermarket pistons until the engine is warm, its the nature of the piston material.

CP and JE are bad for it, piston slap is more or less non existent with Mahle and Manley depending on the clearances used.
Suprakeith
I used CP pistons in my forged build
2jzjay
Glad I went for Manley then.... Hopefully don't get much piston slap, bores will be final finished with manufacturers Clearance so fingers crossed. Using ACL bearings too. On with the build!
