Dzowani
Hi Is it a good idea removeing your EGR? What are the benefits? Is there any one here that did it? Edited December 30, 2017 by Dzowani (see edit history)

Tricky-Ricky
Put it this way i doubt you would notice any difference unless the engine is tuned.

Tricky-Ricky
It's not at all detrimental for the engine if thats what you mean, and it has benifits, rather than try and exsplain i'll point you to this. http://www.tuneruniversity.com/blog/2012/05/dont-block-or-remove-the-egr-valve-its-saving-you-money/
Chris Wilson
Is it healthy for the engine? No, the engine will run cleaner internally with it blocked off, I wouldn't dream of running EGR on any engine I owned long term. You won't see a performance gain but the engine will remain carbon free for longer with this crap removed. Plus you get to do your bit helping reduce the over population of the world by gassing them.
