94 TT - Need help repairing my latch to the fuel tank. Seems to have stretched

I'm going to assume you meant the door no longer closes or catches. In which case, you might find its a simple case that the latch rod has been turned. Check the nut holding the latch is tight and that the end of the rod is angled the right way to latch.
